Publicity Headshot

I offer in-studio and on-location publicity headshots for actors and artists.

The publicity headshot has one primary purpose – to open doors to auditions and work.  It is the primary tool actors use to promote themselves.  The fact of the matter is that without a great headshot, you won’t be going very far.

Consultation

As your photographer, it is important for me to understand your background, personality and ambitions.   I need to know exactly what you are looking for to help plan a photo session that realizes the image you have of yourself.  I’ll tell you everything you need to know to prepare for you session.   We’ll go over hair, clothing, makeup, jewelry and background so that you will look your best on the day of the shoot.

Day of the Shoot

We’ll take lots, and lots, and lots, of pictures.  I will spend up to an hour with you capturing images in various poses and in different outfits to ensure we have plenty of images to choose from.  Periodically, we will take brakes during your shoot to review your photos to make sure we’re capturing the shots that best promote your image.

Online Proofing

After the shoot, you will receive your own private gallery of the best images.  My proofing system allows you to make comments and suggest changes to areas of each photo.  My online gallery is easy to use, allowing you to make selections at your leisure from your home computer.  I am more than happy to help you select your final images.  Having a second or third opinion when making your selection is important.

Image Finishing

Looking your best doesn’t end with the photo shoot however.  Because the camera sees differently than our eyes, post-shoot adjustments need to be made to each image to get the most natural looking result.  The old saying is true – the camera does add ten pounds – and can make your nose look bigger too!   There is an art and science to retouching image so they look natural and not over-processed.  My final image will have you looking your best without looking fake.

Flexible Online Ordering

Once your selected images have been finished, I’ll post them in your gallery so that you can easily download high-resolution images straight to your computer.  I also offer a large variety of print and mounting options to choose from.
